This course is designed to complement The Pet Safety Crusader’s PET FIRST AID & CPCR Course and should be taken by all groomers, managers and shop owners in addition to that training.  The objective is to make sure individual groomers as well as management are aware of best practices…

1. Ensure pets in their care are handled carefully and treated humanely.
2. Take all precautions to keep pets from injury & escape.
3. Make sure ALL surfaces and the facility itself are kept clean and free of dirt and disease.
4. Maintain proper documentation on all pets and circumstances.
5. Display all pertinent certifications for the facility and the individual employees.
6. Rules & protocol must be explained to staff in a professional manner.
7. ALL equipment must be kept in good & safe working order and all employees must know how to use properly.
8. OSHA Regulations must be adhered to, many of which will be covered in this course.
