Pet First Aid INSTRUCTOR Training

email PetSafetyCrusader@gmail.com now to get on the path of teaching others to help the PAWmazing animals in their lives!

Why Choose Pet Safety Crusader Instructor Training?

1. Confidence Over Credentials

Other programs certify you — then send you on your way.

PSC trains instructors to:

  • Answer tough, emotional, or medical‑edge questions with confidence
  • Set clear boundaries without losing student trust
  • Teach real people, not just follow slides

You don’t just leave certified — you leave prepared.

2. Built‑In Community (Not an Afterthought)

Most instructors elsewhere work in isolation.

PSC instructors are part of the Lifesaver Circle, offering:

  • Quarterly instructor gatherings
  • Peer connection and idea‑sharing
  • Ongoing mini‑trainings with expert guest speakers and support

This is professional development and belonging.

3. No Subscription Fatigue

Many programs require ongoing payments just to stay active.

With PSC:

  • No monthly platform fees
  • No annual licensing just to keep teaching
  • No per‑student packet mandates

Your investment goes into your skills — not a meter running in the background.

4. Marketing Help That Actually Helps

Instead of generic templates, PSC offers:

  • Co‑branded graphics
  • Help personalizing promotions
  • Strategic brainstorming support

You’re not just certified — you’re supported in growing your classes, and they are designed by a former motion picture studio publicist!

5. Mission With Meaning

PSC instructors aren’t just teaching procedures — they’re building safer communities for pets.

That purpose resonates with:

  • Pet parents
  • Shelters & rescues
  • Schools, camps, and community groups

And it gives instructors something competitors can’t manufacture: heart.

Bottom Line

Pet Safety Crusader Instructor Training is not about being the fastest, cheapest, or most rigid option.

It’s about being the most supportive, most human, and most sustainable path for instructors who want to teach pet first aid well — and keep doing it with confidence.

Instructor Status and Business Relationship

Please note that approval to teach Pet First Aid (PFA) classes does not establish an employment relationship with Sunny-dog Ink. Instructors are independent business owners and are solely responsible for operating, promoting, scheduling, and delivering their own classes. Teaching PFA classes is part of your own business activities and not conducted as an employee, agent, or representative of Sunny-dog Ink.

Logistics for YOUR Training

All Pet First Aid (PFA) classes delivered via Zoom are conducted individually, ensuring each student receives the same level of attention as in an in-person class. We book classes to fit your schedule and mine – just the two of us. Instructors are never paired with another student during a session. This one-on-one approach allows the instructor to:

  • Demonstrate techniques clearly and interactively
  • Observe and provide immediate feedback on the student’s practice
  • Answer questions in real time, tailored to the student’s learning pace
  • Create a focused, personalized learning environment that mirrors an in-person experience

This method ensures each student instructor gains a full understanding and confidence in Pet First Aid skills and how to teach them, maintaining the high-quality standards of our program.

Ongoing Training & Publicity Support

As a certified instructor, you won’t be on this journey alone! I host quarterly meet-ups (aka The Pet Safety Crusader Lifesavers Circle) with teaching updates, new material, and guest expert speakers — from veterinary dentists and toxicologists to snake envenomation specialists. By attending quarterly meetings and providing updates, generally, a renewal is not necessary since you are continuing to learn and hone your skills.

Monthly marketing support, including ready-to-use copy and graphics, is provided to make self-promotion easier and more effective.

Denise really knows her animals and has such a passion for them. I’ve looked at other Instructor Courses but felt if I was going to teach, I wanted to learn from the best. So glad I did 🙂 –Martha Smith, Greensboro Loves Animals!

  2. :

Our organization, when searching for pet first aid instructor training, evaluated 5+ companies. We chose Sunny-dog Ink and Denise Fleck based on many factors, but the most important one was her communication with us. As you can imagine we had a lot of questions for each company and received the most comprehensive and timely feedback from Denise.

From there, the training far surpassed any pre-conceived ideas we may have had. He goal of “Helping YOU to Help YOUR Pet” blended seamlessly with our mission to reduce animal homelessness in our community. If community members are introduced to knowledge that not only helps their pets in times of emergency till they can get to a veterinarian, but are introduced to information about how to care for your animal, we may well have less homeless animals. Topics are covered in detail but also made relevant for the area of the country you expect to be teaching in. Subjects, such as CPCR or ticks, are presented with the most up to date information available. And instructors are invited to participate in quarterly meeting updates as well. Feedback on your teaching is presented in a positive manner. I could go on, suffice it to say, the experience is certainly worth the investment. Just do it!
–Ingrid Norris, Outreach Director, Hub City Animal Project

I would like to thank Denise for the wonderful training experience I had. As a vet tech, I am required to take seminars and classes regularly, and I found Denise’s to be the best I have had in a long time. The Pet Safety Crusader/Sunny-dog Ink Instructor training class exceeded my expectations. Denise’s knowledge of first aid and CPR for animal’s is spot on. The information is current and relevant; the presentation includes lots of good information and hands-on training, Other tools that were helpful to me are the pocket guides and “The Pet Safety Bible.” The best part of the class was my one-on-one time training with Denise! I learned a lot about providing first aid to animals, and how to train others to do it as well. Denise was very patient and flexible. Her critiques of my presentations were just what I needed to stay on track and keep my mind engaged. I highly recommend this class, and look forward to teaching others how to perform first aid on animals. I hope to do Denise proud! –Suzanne Sasak

  4. :

I am very proud and excited to be taking my Pet First Aid Instructors course (long distance from Dubai) with my First Aid guru, Denise Fleck from Sunny-Dog Ink! I met Denise at the Pet Sitters International Conference in New Orleans and was so intrigued by what she was doing and impressed by how she teaches that I decided to do the instructors course myself. So very honoured to be working with Denise to help others help their pets! –Bernadine Muller, Passion 4 Paws

  5. :

Denise Fleck’s Per First Aid and CPR Instructor training classes were detailed, comprehensive and personable. She even went above and beyond to help our homeless community population. We can now confidently teach our community how to help their pets in case of an emergency. She is a blessing, truly an amazing person to help us help our dogs and cats! –Rebecca Seefeld, President, We Care for Animals, Bullhead, AZ

  6. :

We cannot thank Denise Fleck (aka The Pet Safety Crusader) of Sunny-dog Ink enough for her Pet First Aid Instructor’s Training Course! Not only did she help us learn life-saving techniques for our own dogs, but she provided us the opportunity to add a service to our Community that is much needed. These classes are exciting and bring great skills to pet owners all over Oklahoma. We are so proud to provide this valued service. I was able to make a return on my investment teaching just 3 small classes. We are so thankful for the opportunity to work hand and hand with such a wonderful person who provides personal care and continuous education. Thank you, thank you 😊 I appreciate you! –Jonathan Cox, Buckaroos Retrievers & Retreats

  7. :

As an EMT and owner of a human first aid & CPR company, I decided to add pet first aid courses at the request of several clients. After reaching out to numerous organizations that provide pet first aid instructor training, I found Denise Fleck, and in all my trainings, I have never found an educator like her. She genuinely cared about the student and not just about making money. I was pleased to see Denise enjoyed answering questions, and the way she provided constructive criticism in a positive way, allowed me to gain the proper knowledge and meet a professional standard. I have unfortunately seen others allow an instructor candidate to pass a course and begin teaching at a sub par level. I feel the Pet Safety Crusader’s course has fully prepared me to educate pet parents and my community about pet safety, first aid and CPCR. I cannot find anything that I would change. — Alex Smith, Owner, Dynamite CPR & First Aid
